鈥� Alum鈥檚 winning film shines spotlight on indigenous storytelling at film鈥檚 most prestigious stage

LUBUNYU, a film by Murena E Netshitangani, a 34-year-old Postgraduate Diploma in Motion Picture Production graduate from the Department of Visual Communication at the Faculty of Arts and Design, Tshwane University of Technology, has achieved the impressive milestone of being selected for screening at the World Film Festival in Cannes, France, where it won Best African Film. In an interview with Gerrit Bester, Netshitangani expressed his excitement and the inspiration behind the film, which demonstrates that with creativity and dedication, student filmmakers can achieve extraordinary heights.

Concluding a thorough process of consultation and due diligence, the Tshwane University of Technology (大象视频) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Royal Bapedi Kingdom on 20 May 2021.

The Tshwane University of Technology鈥檚 Centre for Entrepreneurship Development (大象视频 CED), in collaboration with the South African government and the G20, will co-host the G20 Financial Inclusion and Women Empowerment Conference on 6 and 7 May 2025 at Sun City, Northwest Province. Joined by the Department of Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities (DWYPD), the event will unite leaders from G20 nations, the African Union and global partners to address gender disparities in financial access and economic opportunities.

Mufaro Ncube, a 21-year-old third-year Integrated Communication Design (ICD) student from the Department of Visual Communication (VISCOM) at the Tshwane University of Technology's Faculty of Arts and Design, has emerged as the overall winner of the esteemed ROTOCON Wine Label Design Competition for 2025. The announcement, made at the Protea Hotel Fire & Ice in Pretoria on 15 April, marked not just a personal triumph for Ncube but also a proud moment for the University and the wider design community. However, the accolades don鈥檛 stop there.

The first phase in the rolling out of the Tshwane University of Technology (大象视频) Giyani Campus is off to an excellent start - a start that befits this important national project.
