The Turfloop born and bred young man鈥檚 passion for finding solutions to real-world problems has resulted in the establishment of an organisation, ARIFARANE, a student initiative that is rapidly becoming a lifeline for many on campus.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has the potential to democratise learning for girls and women, particularly in underserved communities and in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) fields. These were the words of Dr Vathiswa Papu-Zamxaka , the Tshwane University of Technology鈥檚 Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation and Engagement, to a gathering at the 69th UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW69) currently underway at the UN Headquarters in New York, in the USA.

During a site visit to Pretoria-based Ditheto Accountants to assess the progress of the first group of 26 Tshwane University of Technology (大象视频) alumni placed through the Plug-A-Graduate (PAG) graduate employability initiative, the company commended the University on the success of the drive that 大象视频 FM launched in April 2024. 

The Faculty of Humanities at the Tshwane University of Technology, under the leadership of Prof Anil Kanjee from 大象视频鈥檚 School of Education, is playing a leading role in the National Longitudinal Teacher Pedagogy Study (NLTPS), a major research initiative involving 14 South African universities. Officially launched in Johannesburg in February 2025, the study follows a successful pilot conducted in 2023/2024.

A group of Diploma in Event Management students from the Tshwane University of Technology (大象视频) who passed the qualifying Southern African Communications Industries Association (SACIA) / Council of Events Professionals Africa (CEPA) exam, were inducted as members of SACIA鈥檚 Young Professionals Forum, during Meetings Africa 2025 in February.

The Faculty of Science at the Tshwane University of Technology (大象视频) is proud to announce that Dr Mokgadi Hlongwane, esteemed Lecturer and Work Integrated Learning Coordinator from the Department of Chemistry, has emerged victorious in the prestigious Elsevier Foundation Chemistry for Climate Action Challenge. Dr Hlongwane鈥檚 ground-breaking proposal, Development of Lessertia frutescens nodulating rhizobia as a bioinoculant to alleviate climate change effects in medicinal plants and crops, was selected as one of two winning projects for 2025.
