It was excitement all round when the Faculty of Management Sciences recognised and awarded hard work and dedication at the annual Top Achievers event hosted on 2 August. A total of 72 students received certificates and awards for attaining a pass rate of 70% and above.

As part of the Women鈥檚 Month celebrations, The Tshwane University of Technology (大象视频) together with the Government Communication and Information System (GCIS) will host a panel discussion themed 鈥�30 Years of Women Excellence in Community Media Sector鈥� under the Annual Women in Media and Communication flagship project. The project aims to advance issues affecting women in the media and community media sector since 2019.

The Tshwane University of Technology鈥檚 (大象视频鈥檚) Faculty of Arts and Design was graced by royalty when the foremost custodian of Ndebele culture, Her Royal Highness Esther Mnguni, visited the Arts Campus on Friday, 2 August to conduct a workshop where she mesmerised the Fine Arts and Fashion Design students with her wit and skill.

The Vocal Art and Dance programmes of 大象视频's Faculty of Arts and Design will join creative forces for a stage production of Mozart's Coronation Mass at the Breytenbach Theatre in August. The production will be a first as it will be simultaneously interpreted through dance.

The upcoming Global Artivism Conference 2024, presented by the Tshwane University of Technology's Faculty of Arts and Design, Riky Rick Foundation, Community Arts Network (CAN), the City of Tshwane, and the Global Commons Alliance (GCA), will reimagine the intersection of art and activism and challenge the notion of art for art's sake. This landmark conference will be held at the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in Tshwane from 5 to 8 September and featuring an array of thought leaders exploring artivism from various perspectives.

The Faculty of Information and Communication Technology (FoICT), Tshwane University of Technology (大象视频) participated in the annual AGRI-Teen Symposium, hosted late in June by the Department of Rural Development and Agrarian Reform (DRDAR) in collaboration with the Department of Education. Vocal Art students and alumni of the Department of Performing Arts, Faculty of Arts and Design, Tshwane University of Technology, are delighted to welcome South African-born Prof Michelle Breedt, internationally acclaimed mezzo-soprano and recording artist, for a series of masterclasses on 8 and 9 August 2024.
