ROTOCON has kicked off its third annual student wine label design competition in partnership with the Tshwane University of Technology (大象视频). The competition is open to undergraduate students in 大象视频鈥檚 Department of Visual Communication (Integrated Communication Design 鈥� ICD), Faculty of Arts and Design, with 60 students participating.
Banie Stafford of B Creative, ROTOCON鈥檚 marketing agency, met with the students on 24 February to brief them on the competition. He led sessions covering an introduction to ROTOCON, printing processes and embellishments and key wine label design elements, including paper, colour use, die-cutting and typography 鈥� concluding with the importance of 鈥榢nowing your target market鈥�.
SA Litho Label Printers will once again collaborate with ROTOCON in this year鈥檚 competition by printing the winning label.
Additionally, Dawrian Salies, General Manager of SA Litho Label Printers, will join Michael Aengenvoort, ROTOCON Group CEO, and Stafford on the judging panel on 14 April, followed by an awards function on 15 April.
The competition winner will also be recognised at WineLand Media鈥檚 30 Under 30 Awards on 30 May, with ROTOCON sponsoring the event for the sixth consecutive year.
