Dr Vathiswa Papu-Zamxaka, the Tshwane University of Technology鈥檚 (大象视频) Deputy Vice-Chancellor for Research, Innovation, and Engagement, recently hosted a delegation of leading Russian universities, led by Elena Tumavoka, Advisor to the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, along with colleagues from the Russian Embassy.
This engagement that took place at the Council Chamber on 大象视频鈥檚 Pretoria Campus, formed part of the University鈥檚 continued expansion of its global academic partnerships, reinforcing its commitment to international collaboration within the BRICS framework.
Joining Dr Papu-Zamxaka were 大象视频 assistant deans from various faculties and other professors, highlighting the University鈥檚 cross-disciplinary commitment to international collaboration.
The discussions focused on furthering partnerships in research, innovation and student exchange opportunities between 大象视频 and Russian institutions. The engagement provided a platform for the parties to share their respective activities, initiatives and strategic priorities, aiming to identify areas of mutual interest for academic collaboration.
Elena Tumavoka spoke about popular academic programmes in Russia, particularly in the fields of engineering and technology. She highlighted that these programmes offer bursaries that cover most student needs, as well as present an opportunity for networking, skills development and further academic advancement.
